Why I Support Soccer In The Streets

Over the past five years in Atlanta I have become increasingly involved in Soccer in the Streets and have seen the impact this organization has had on the kids it benefits, the community and the city of Atlanta as a whole. In just the last year, several of the refugee kids that have been developed by the Soccer in the Streets program were selected for the Atlanta United Academy team. This is an incredible accomplishment and serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by the countless volunteers that help bring this organization to life. In addition, they have also launched a project that serves to unite the entire city of Atlanta through the use of public transportation and football and has already been recognized with several major awards - including US Soccer's Innovation award: http://www.fifa.com/sustainability/news/y=2017/m=3/news=station-soccer-unites-atlanta-2874881.html . This project demonstrates Soccer in the Streets dedication to forging change in the Atlanta community through football but these types of initiatives cannot happen without your help. So, one last shameless plug, please consider donating - really any size donation at all - to help out this incredibly worthy cause.
